Call for Nominations: WEAU Board Positions & 5S Award
The WEAU Board is introducing an updated nominations process for upcoming Board vacancies and the prestigious Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers (5S) Award. This new approach aligns WEAU with nomination practices used by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and other Member Associations.

WEAU Board Positions: If you are interested in expanding your leadership within the wastewater profession, please complete the Board nomination form. Submissions require an updated resume and an endorsement letter from your employer or governing entity.

5S Award: Established by WEF Member Associations, the Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding, meritorious service and gone above and beyond for our industry. Please submit a nomination for a deserving peer who exemplifies this level of dedication.
Process & Key Dates:

Applications and nominations are due by December 31, 2026.

The Nomination Committee will review all submissions.

Board elections will commence in late January.

The Nomination Committee will formally announce the election results and 5S inductees at the Annual Conference.
